Who can resist The Gruffalo? Julia Donaldson’s picture book is a beloved classic and on stage its sequel, about the Gruffalo’s adventurous daughter, is a delight for young audiences.  Ticket prices are cheaper than average for the West End because of the show’s target audience. The cheapest seats start at £10 and the most expensive tickets are £30.

The Gruffalo’s Child Discount Tickets

This fun family show is in London for a limited season, so discounts will not be available on a regular basis. However, keep an eye out for London Theatre Week in late August or early September, when many shows have exclusive prices starting at £15. There is no guarantee that The Gruffalo’s Child will be included, but if it is you could get better seats for less. 

The show is aimed at young children aged 3+, but babes-in-arms may be allowed entry free of charge. It is best to double-check with the venue before booking.

The Garrick Theatre is in central London, close to major attractions. Over the Christmas period there is lots of free entertainment for kids, and we recommend looking at the beautiful decorations in Covent Garden and up the main shopping streets, including Carnaby Street. There are lots of family-friendly museums in the area as well for pre- or post-show fun, including the London Transport Museum.

The cloakroom has limited space, so collapsible prams and buggies may not be accepted. There are other local storage facilities such as Stasher, but it is best to contact them before you travel to ensure they can accept certain items. Information about changing facilities is available from the theatre itself. 

To avoid the temptation of expensive snacks during the interval, you are welcome to bring small cold sweets and bottled drinks.
