Fans of new writing and the Royal Court will appreciate this finely crafted new work which was last seen in 2010. Recreated for the West End this play discusses what it means to be privileged at the time of financial cut backs and world wide recession. Set at a riotous drunken dinner, views are expressed, argued and justified in this dark political debate.

Please note that this production is not recommended for children under the age of 12 years old.

Description

“In an oak-panelled room in Oxford, ten young bloods with cut-glass vowels and deep pockets are meeting, intent on restoring their right to rule. Members of an elite student dining society, the boys are bunkering down for a wild night of debauchery, decadence and bloody good wine. But this isn’t the last huzzah: they’re planning a takeover. Welcome to the Riot Club” Laura Wade’s new play which premiered at the Royal Court comes to the West End for a limited time season. Starring Leo Bill (The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo), and Henry Lloyd-Hughes (The Inbetweeners) this play shows an Oxford University drinking club and displays a dark political message.

Critics Reviews
star-rating-2.5
There are a few hilarious moments, but the coalition aren’t the only ones who need to make some cuts in this one-note transfer.
