About the show
Amelia Bullmore’s hit play has enjoyed two sell out seasons at The Hampstead theatre and great critical acclaim. It now transfers to the Vaudeville theatre starring Tamzin Outhwaite, Samantha Spiro and Jenna Russell.Three unlikely friends form a bond that will last a life time. The play opens in the 1980’s when the girls are just 18 and studying at University. Rose is a free-spirited art history student who sleeps with any boy she fancies, Di is a sporty lesbian who is taking business studies, and Viv is a sociology student with a ferocious work ethic. The play which promises to be both funny and touching follows the women and the strength of their friendship throughout their lives up to 2010.
Tamzin Outhwaite is probably best known for the role as Melanie Owen in BBC soap Eastenders. No stranger to the stage she has previously been seen in Sweet Charity (Theatre Royal Haymarket), Raving (Hampstead Theatre), and most recently Breeders (St. James Theatre).

The play is directed by Anna Mackmin who has been an associate director at both The Sheffield Crucible and London’s Gate Theatre.
Di and Viv and Rose marks the Hampstead Theatre’s third West End transfer in recent months along with Good People starring Imelda Staunton and The Kinks musical Sunny Afternoon.
