About the show

After a smash-hit season with Cinderella at the London Palladium, Qdos Entertainment returns to the venue for Christmas 2017 with a brand new festive pantomime. Dick Whittington is set to strut into the theatre, bringing an all-star cast, dazzling costumes and glittering sets!

A panto favourite, Dick Whittington is the rags-to-riches story of a young man and his dancing cat, who leave their poor home to find their fortune in London. When they arrive, they find the city is overrun with rats, and Dick’s cat quickly becomes a local hero! But King Rat is lurking nearby and will do all he can to thwart Dick’s plans to become the Mayor…

Qdos Entertainment’s Cinderella is the first pantomime to grace the London stage in over 29 years, and with Dick Whittington announced for 2017, panto at the Palladium seems to be a new tradition! A UK entertainment giant, Qdos Entertainment presents shows across the country, staging a total of 649 pantomimes!

Dick Whittington features a spectacular bunch of performers, with casting including Julian Clary as the Spirit of the Bells, Paul Zerdin as Idle Jack and Nigel Havers as Captain Nigel. Further cast members include recent WhatsOnStage Award-winner Charlie Stemp, who earned rave reviews for his role in Half a Sixpence, as Dick Whittington, West End veteran Elaine Paige as Queen Rat, Gary Wilmot as dame Sarah the Cook and Ashley Banjo and Diversity as The Sultan and his Entourage. Emma Williams (Half a Sixpence, Mrs Henderson Presents) joins the cast as Dick's love interest, Alice Fitzwarren.

With choreography by Karen Bruce and direction from Michael Harrison, Dick Whittington opens at the London Palladium for a festive season beginning December 9th 2017, running until January 7th 2018.

Who Should See It?

Fans of pantomime will love this big budget production, which is sure to rival the dazzling effects of this year’s Cinderella.

Dick Whittington is suitable for all ages, with plenty of slapstick fun for the little ones and some rather raucous jokes for the adults!
