In 1961 the kids of the social club are excited to watch Norman and Bobby compete in a national song-writing contest, as well as trying to attract the attentions of sassy Sue. Bobby discovers that Laura has a hidden talent for playing the piano and decides to help him win the contest. Together they compose sweet music, and Bobby slowly begins to notice the girl behind the glasses. But unfortunately for Laura, Sue begins to notice Bobby...
