From the producers of Riverdance, this high-octane celebration of music and dance across the world opens at the Piccadilly Theatre on 4 September 2019.
Combining Irish, Hip-Hop, Latin, Afro-Cuban and Contemporary music and dance into an exciting new fusion, Heartbeat of Home is a multicultural extravaganza. Performed by 33 international dancers heralding from countries including Ireland, Argentina, Spain and the USA, the show also features a live six-piece band on stage. The tour-de-force performance is rounded off by fantastic video projections, making it a real feast for the senses.
The show has already opened in Dublin, North America, China and Germany, and marks a return to the West End for Riverdance creative team Moya Doherty and John McColgan. Riverdance first premiered over 20 years ago and went on to become a worldwide phenomenon, and Heartbeat of Home is well on its way to following in suit.
Heartbeat of Home was developed by John McColgan, who also directs. The creative team is filled out by producer Moya Doherty, composer Brian Byrne, lyricist Joseph O’Connor and choreographer David Bolger.
With a heady mix of dance and performance styles, Heartbeat of Home is sure to be a thrilling addition to the West End. Performances begin on 4 September 2019 at the Piccadilly Theatre.
