We all want to meet people from history. Trouble is, everyone is dead! But, the Horrible Histories clan are here to introduce audiences to all kings of characters from Britain’s colourful past. Escape the rubble of the ruthless Romans, be shaken and stirred by Richard III and inspect the terrible teeth of Queen Elizabeth I!
Can you survive King James I’s witch hunt? Will you mount a mutiny against a scary King Henry VIII? How about seeing Mary Tudor knock the spots of Mary Queen of Scots, peeping into the world of Samuel Pepys and even helping find a headless Georgian man? And can you manage to get through the first ever train ride with the night soil men?
Adapted for the stage by the Birmingham Stage Company, whose other productions include Gangsta Granny, More Best of Barmy Britain and Barmy Britain Parts I, II and III, the Horrible Histories saga is created by Terry Deary. Written by, created by and starring Neal Foster, the production features design by Jacqueline Trousdale, lighting by Jason Taylor and sound by Nick Sagar.
Horrible Histories - Barmy Britain Part Four is a world premiere that guaranteed is to entertain audiences of all ages! Playing a strictly limited summer season, the production plays at the Apollo Theatre from August 2nd to September 1st 2018.
