About the showBeloved actress and comedian Dawn French makes her panto debut in the glittering new offering from the Olivier Award-winning team behind Dick Whittington and Cinderella. Snow White is the latest London Palladium pantomime, playing a strictly limited festive season at the West End venue.
Snow White is the well-known fairytale originally told by the Brothers Grimm that follows a beautiful young princess who is exiled when her wicked stepmother becomes jealous of her looks. With the evil queen out to get her, Snow White hides in a cottage in the forest, which she discovers is owned by seven dwarves!
Often adapted into hilarious pantomimes, Snow White is guaranteed to feature plenty of current tunes and those from the famous 1937 Disney film. Can the lovely princess escape her cruel fate and find her prince charming? And will the wicked queen get her comeuppance?
Dawn French (The Vicar of Dibley, French and Saunders) stars as The Wicked Queen, after most recently appearing in the West End in her stand-up show Thirty Million Minutes at the Vaudeville Theatre. Danielle Hope takes the titular role of Snow White while Charlie Stemp is to play Prince Charming. Further casting includes returning favourites Julian Clary as The Man in the Mirror, Nigel Havers as The Understudy, Paul Zerdin as Muddles and Gary Wilmot as Mrs Crumble.
Tango dancers Vincent Simone and Flavia Cacace-Mistry also appear as The King and The Queen, alongside Josh Bennett, Simeon Dyer, Craig Garner, Ben Goffe, Jamie John, Blake Lisle and Andrew Martin as The Magnificent Seven.
Snow White is directed by Michael Harrison and features set design by Ian Westbrook, costume design by Hugh Durrant, lighting design by Ben Cracknell and visual special effects by The Twins FX, with original music from Gary Hind.
Another star-studded spectacular brought to the London Palladium stage, Snow White is a guaranteed treat for the entire family. Packed full of jokes, songs and plenty of fun, the production plays at the London venue for a limited season, from December 8th 2018 to January 13th 2019, with an official opening December 12th 2018.
