About the show
Viva Forever comes from the creator of Mamma Mia, Judy Craymer and comedian Jennifer Saunders. Using the songs of the world's biggest selling girl band complete with an original story about friendship, love and fame this is guaranteed to be a feel-good show. As young Viva auditions for a TV talent show, her hopes are raised when she progresses through to the final rounds. She is faced with a tough decision - does she abandon her friends who have helped her to this crucial stage or does she grab fame with both hands?Rumours of a Spice Girls musical have been flying around the internet for years, and it was announced late last year that the project was definitely going ahead. Since then, the show has held an exclusive Press Launch to present it to the world, featuring the fab five girls themselves. The band talked about how excited they were about the show, saying that the workshops had already brought them to tears. It was recently announced that experienced West End performer Sally Ann Triplet would take on the role of Viva's mother, Lauren. She will be joined by newcomer Hannah John-Kamen who will take on the title role. Songs confirmed for the production include: 'Wannabe', 'Look at Me', 'I Turn to You' and 'Headlines'.
