A Midsummer Night's Dream Ticket Prices

A dark new staging of Shakespeare’s comedy, A Midsummer Night’s Dream will be captivating audiences at the atmospheric Sam Wanamaker Playhouse this year. Playing in one of London's most unique venues and leaning into the more complex elements of the play, audiences won’t want to miss this magical production.

Ticket prices start as low as £6, with the most expensive, premium seating costing around £100. Ticket prices slightly jump up during the weekend, as it’s typically the theatre’s peak visiting time. However, if you don’t mind booking in advance, you might be able to grab cheaper tickets.

A Midsummer Night's Dream Discount Tickets

Offers on tickets for this strictly limited run won’t always be available, although it’s best to keep your eye on ticket prices as they will vary depending on demand. Some discounts may become available, especially if the show is included in any seasonal promotions, such as the New Year sale.

The best way to find good value tickets without discount is to choose where you sit. Websites like SeatPlan and Theatre Monkey will show you pictures and comments from real audience members to help you find the hidden gems. These sites are really useful when finding hidden gem seats for short-running productions.

Rush/Day Seat schemes are yet to be confirmed.

When to Book Tickets

Availability for A Midsummer Night’s Dream is good, although cheaper ticket prices are selling quickly across weekend performances. For the best availability and choice of seats, we recommend booking ahead to ensure you secure the best seats within your budget.

At the time of writing, ticket prices for mid-week performances are up to 10% cheaper than weekend performances. It’s good to keep in mind that this might not always be the case, especially during school holidays and festive periods.

Bear in mind that the very cheapest tickets are not for seats - these are standing spaces at the back and top of the theatre. This can be a bargain but we recommend checking the view from sites like SeatPlan or Theatremonkey, and considering whether you want to be on your feet for that long.

Top Tips For Your Visit

The Sam Wanamaker Playhouse is part of the Shakespeare's Globe site, located on Bankside and a short walk from London Bridge station, which services the Northern line and national rail; and Blackfriars on the District and Circle lines and national rail. As the theatre is in central London, there are a wide variety of restaurants, bars and pubs surrounding the venue.

The venue itself is next door to the main Globe building, which has a cafe on-site as well as a gift shop. Tours of the Globe are available on some days, which offer a fascinating insight into the history of Shakespeare's London. Tate Modern is also nearby, with permanent free collections available to view.

Doors open 30 minutes before the performance start time. The theatre offers free cloakroom facilities, however, the cloakroom is only open from 6pm and will shut around 30 minutes after the performance finishes.
