Best London shows for Kids
Going to West End shows can be expensive on your own, let alone trying to afford tickets for a full family. If you’re unsure where to start, we have some advice and guidance on how to take the sting out your family trip to Theatreland.
First check out this page for discounts to some of the best family shows London has to offer or read on to get even more tips for securing cheap family theatre tickets.
Family Group Theatre Tickets
Some of the biggest family-friendly London shows don’t offer concessions for children, but if you’re booking for a group of six or more you can still get money off certain seats.
Smaller shows aimed at toddlers or pre-schoolers, including The Tiger Who Came To Tea and The Snowman, return to London annually. Tickets for these are a lot cheaper overall and there are sometimes family and child prices as well. Babes in arms can go free up to one year or 18 months at some of these shows.
There are a number of London venues that produce solely children’s theatre, including Polka Theatre in Wimbledon, Little Angel Theatre in Islington and Unicorn Theatre in Southwark. In August, Kid’s Week offers free children’s theatre tickets for a range of West End shows.
Family Rush Tickets
If you and your family are flexible you can book some last-minute tickets to some of the big Disney Musicals by visiting Disney Magical Mondays (formerly Disney Day Seats). Magical Mondays sells £25 Rush tickets for that week’s performances, on sale at midday.
There is currently a limit of four Magical Mondays tickets per performance for Frozen and two per performance for other shows, so if you want to book a larger group this may not be suitable.
