A spoonful of sugar and a sprinkling of magic arrives on the West End this Autumn, as Mary Poppins returns to the Prince Edward Theatre. Based on the beloved Walt Disney film and P. L. Travers’ books, the musical first premiered in 2004 and has since flown up and down the UK – and across the world – enchanting audiences. With catchy songs including “Let’s Go Fly a Kite” and “Chim Chim Cher-ee” and a classic story about a family welcoming a little magic into their lives, Mary Poppins is a practically perfect choice for the upcoming festive season.
Birmingham Repertory Theatre’s beloved adaptation of Raymond Briggs’ children’s novel The Snowman returns once more to London’s Peacock Theatre – just in time for Christmas. Featuring laughter, dancing and plenty of snow, the production follows a little boy who crafts a snowy friend one wintery day.
