Multi-award-winning new musical Come From Away plays in London’s West End, following huge critical success on Broadway. Created by husband and wife duo Irene Sankoff and David Hein, the emotional musical follows the remarkable, true story of the 7,000 stranded passengers on the night of 9/11. Come From Away delves into the heart of the community of small town Newfoundland, who welcomed 7,000 stranded passengers with open arms. With a book, music and lyrics by Irene Sankoff and David Hein, the musical features uplifting tunes such as “Welcome to the Rock”, “Me and the Sky”, “Something’s Missing” and many more. Directed by Tony Award-winner Christopher Ashley (Memphis, Xanadu), the production features set design by Beowulf Boritt, costume design by Toni-Leslie James, lighting design by Howell Binkley and sound design by Gareth Owen. The talented cast includes Alice Fearn (Wicked), James Doherty (London Road), Kate Graham (Mamma Mia), Jenna Boyd (The Wind in the Willows), Mark Dugdale (Jersey Boys), Jonathan Andrew Hume (The Lion King), Harry Morrison (Half A Sixpence) and Emma Salvo (The Toxic Avenger). The show is directed by Christopher Ashley, with Kelly Devine leading the Musical Staging, Toni-Leslie James designing the costumes and Ian Eisendrath as Musical Supervisor. Winner of every major UK theatre award for Best New Musical and a total of four Olivier Awards, Come From Away is a thrilling, emotional and ultimately uplifting musical.
