Based upon the 1980 film of the same name, Fame the Musical delves into the lives of a group of young students - rappers, dancers and artistes - at New York’s High School For The Performing Arts. It is hear they learn about the rough times and the smooth, about romance and heartbreak, all the while setting their sights on the glory of fame. An iconic soundtrack includes numbers like “Bring on Tomorrow” and, of course, the Oscar-winning “Fame”. The show has enjoyed both professional and amateur revivals across the world, in every major language.
The 30th Anniversary Tour is directed and choreographed by Nick Winston. It features design from Morgan Large as well as lighting by Prema Mehta and sound design from Ben Harrison. Musical supervision is courtesy of Mark Crossland.
Keith Jack (Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat UK tour) stars as Nick Piazza alongside singer Mica Paris (Chicago UK tour) who plays Miss Sherman. Jorgie Porter (Channel 4's Hollyoaks) stars as Iris Kelly in her stage debut. Further casting for the West End is yet to be announced.
