About the show
Director Trevor Nunn returns to the Theatre Royal Haymarket to direct a brand new production of the thriller 'Fatal Attraction'. Re-imagined by original screen writer James Dearden, this compelling production is set to reinvent this intricate drama. Nunn's previous successes at the Theatre Royal Haymarket include 'The Lion in Winter' which starred Joanna Lumley, and 'Flare Path' starring Sheridan Smith. As previous artistic director of the National Theatre, he was responsible for productions such as 'Oklahoma!', 'My Fair Lady' as well as the world's most popular musical 'Les Miserables' for the RSC. 'Fatal Attraction' is a story of obsession and revenge. As a chance meeting in a bar brings about a brief encounter, New York lawyer Dan Gallagher finds himself in a living nightmare. As he is tempted to spend a weekend with the beautiful Alex Forrest, he mistakenly thinks that he is free to walk away. Alex proves herself to be a woman that cannot be ignored, and she begins to pursue Dan and his family, which leads to terrifying consequences. The production stars Natascha McElhone (Ronin) as Alex Forrest , Mark Bazeley (The Bourne Ultimatum) as Dan Gallagher and Kristen Davis (Sex and the City) as Beth Gallagher . Fatal Attraction began previews on 8th March 2014, and is booking for a fifteen week limited run to 21 June 2014.
