About the show
The Michael Grandage Company's second play at the Noel Coward Theatre is a new play written by John Logan, who wrote the muti-award winning 'Red' which played at the Donmar Warehouse and on Broadway. In this imaginative play, the original inspiration behind Lewis Carroll's 'Alice in Wonderland', Alice Liddell meets the younger Peter who was the inspiration behind J M Barrie's classic 'Peter Pan'. Enchantment and reality collide throughout this brief meeting, and we see the two characters come together to tell a new story. Dame Judi Dench plays Alice alongside Ben Whishaw's Peter, after having worked together on the latest Bond Film 'Skyfall'. Dench is one of the world's most loved actresses and is instantly recognisable for people of all ages. Whishaw himself is no stranger to the stage, having appeared in a number of plays including 'Hamlet' and the recent TV adaptation of 'Richard II'. The play is once again directed by Michael Grandage, with designs by Christopher Oram. Original music will be by Adam Cork.
