To be sure of staying off their dinner plates, Mouse distracts them with her cunning plan, the tale of the Gruffalo. Things take an unexpected turn when Mouse discovers her mythical beast may be more than just a story!
This popular show is based on the award-winning book by former children's Laureate Julia Donaldson. It is just one in a collection of beloved stories which includes 'The Gruffalo's Child', ‘Room on a Broom’, ‘The Snail and the Whale’ and ‘The Smartest Giant in Town’. Inspiration for the gorgeous set of The Gruffalo is taken from Axel Scheffler’s distinctive illustrations featured in the original picture book.
Since its successful premiere back in 2001, The Gruffalo has toured across the world, enjoying acclaimed runs in London, Asia, the Sydney Opera House and on Broadway. With a 55 minute running time, and jam-packed with comedy, music, interactivity, physical theatre and fun, the show is designed with mini attention spans in mind and is guaranteed to keep young theatre-goers heartily entertained.
