About the showBirmingham Repertory Theatre’s enchanting The Snowman makes its return to the Peacock Theatre, for the Christmas season. A stunning showcase of dance, live music and storytelling, this charming spectacle is one the whole family can relish.
Based on the Raymond Briggs children’s book, the show also includes songs and music from the 1982 film, including the immortal “Walking in the Air”. The story is told through movement and images rather than words, and awesome special effects capture the imaginations of the children in the audience.
One snowy Christmas, a young boy builds a snowman, a tall specimen complete with hat and scarf. Suddenly, something magical happens: the chilly figure comes to life and together the pair embark on a heart-stopping, enchanted adventure.
The Snowman has become a festive staple on the West End, returning annually for more than two decades. It has formed a magical introduction to the theatre for thousands of young viewers.
Come swim in the midnight blue with the heart-warming The Snowman at Peacock Theatre from 20 November 2021.
