About the show

Get ready for the perfect Christmas treat as The Tiger Who Came to Tea returns to the West End this December. Following the chaotic adventures of a mother and daughter who have a very large and furry guest at their door, this rambunctious tale brings heart and cheer to the Theatre Royal Haymarket.

Sophie and mummy are getting ready for tea, but there’s a knock on the door. Who could it be? Certainly not a huge, striped tiger! Join this unlikely group as they settle down for songs, games, mischief and magic in a delightful family show that’s sure to keep little ones on the edge of their seats.

The Tiger Who Came to Tea is adapted from Judith Kerr’s beloved picture book by David Wood, who also directs. Wood is an expert in children’s and family theatre, with The Witches and The Gingerbread Men amongst his previous successes.

Pour some tea, eat some biscuits, and get ready to enjoy an hour with a very furry friend: The Tiger Who Came to Tea at the Theatre Royal Haymarket is perfect for little ones, and opens on 9 December 2019.
